My Work

About Me
My job is to make your job easier and your communications impressive. With a background in editorial strategy and instructional design, I craft clear, purposeful content and highly effective education programs designed to connect with your audience.
I started my career in non-profits, gravitating toward creating social media and instructional content to support educational programs. I then transitioned into teaching middle school social studies, a job that taught me the value of purposeful messaging and gave me a masterclass in engaging a tough audience with minimal resources.
During the pandemic, I moved into instructional design and copywriting for a national edtech company, leading a team to create highly effective eLearning products.
That experience gives me a unique approach: approaching communications as education. Your organization is already important and impactful. We need to educate people about what you are doing and teach them why and how to take action to help further your mission.
Having impressive, impactful communications makes everything else easier. From building donor support to increasing community engagement to increasing positive outcomes, it all starts with and thrives on excellent communications materials. Let's build them together.
Deliver a solution that lasts
I understand that your resources are limited. Time and money are important considerations. My goal is to identify strategic solutions, take tasks off your plate, and build effective processes to help you achieve the best possible return on investment.
You are already wearing too many hats; I'd like to remove a few and make your job easier long after our partnership ends.
Make a plan
Before we jump into asset development, we need to ensure we have a clear understanding of where we are, where we need to go, and how to get there. I will build project management tools, create a communication schedule, and develop a roadmap for each step of the project to avoid wasted time and energy and make sure that each deliverable is exactly what you need.
Understand the need
My process starts with listening and learning. I need to understand your goals, existing frameworks, and the context of what worked or didn't work for you in the past.
Once we have established a strong contextual background, the next step is to prioritize your goals, define your audience, and create a strategy and roadmap that meet your needs.
